Why We Started Tendy

We started Tendy with a simple goal: make paying people easier, faster, and better. Every other payment app just seemed to fall short. Maybe our ex was still seeing who we were paying back for concert tickets. Maybe we accidentally sent money to the wrong Mike Dolan (again). Or maybe we were just uncomfortable that the guys who delivered our couch in a downpour—and absolutely deserved a tip—now had our full name, phone number, and address.

We wanted something more private. More flexible. More right.

Then we thought: what if you could send money through any messaging or social app? What if you could pay someone you don’t know without sharing any sensitive info...more like cash? And what if we could finally eliminate the most annoying conversation in peer-to-peer payments:
