What is Tendy?
Tendy is a universal payments app that allows you to pay anyone quickly and securely, regardless of the payment app they use. It works seamlessly with Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, or Zelle, ensuring your personal information remains private.
How does it work?
To make a payment with Tendy:
- Download the Tendy app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Enter the amount you wish to pay.
- Choose to display a QR code for in-person payments or send a secure link via your preferred messaging or social media app.
- The recipient scans the QR code or clicks the link and selects their preferred payment app (Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, or Zelle) to receive the funds
Are there any fees for sending or receiving money with Tendy?
No, Tendy is free to use and the sender gets 100% of the payment. So when you send $10, they get $10.
How does Tendy ensure my privacy and security?
Tendy prioritizes your privacy by allowing you to make payments without sharing personal information such as your name or phone number. This feature is especially useful when paying someone you don't know personally.
I received a Tendy payment, how do I receive my funds?
Select your transfer method: Venmo, Zelle, CashApp, etc. You can also opt to receive the funds within Tendy!
Enter your phone number or email associated with the account to which you wish to transfer funds. We’ll process the payment immediately. People usually receive their funds within 1-2 minutes, but some transfers can take up to 1 business day.
You’ll get a notification from the payment app you chose to transfer funds to when your funds have been issued.
Where is my withdrawal?
Withdrawals are processed to the phone or email address associated with your account. Most withdrawals are processed within 1-2 minutes but some can take up to 1 business day.
Can I send money to someone who doesn’t have Tendy?
Yes! That’s part of the magic of Tendy. Your recipient can receive payments directly through their preferred payment app without downloading any new apps.
How quickly does the recipient receive the funds?
Recipients typically receive funds within 1-2 minutes into their chosen payment app, ensuring a swift and seamless transaction process. Some payments can take up to 1 business day to process, and if that is the case, the recipient will receive a message to let them know.
Can I send money to someone outside the United States?
Tendy is currently only available within the United States.
How do I cancel a payment?
After generating a QR code or secure link, you may cancel a payment by hitting the “Cancel” button, and funds will be returned to your account immediately. If nobody scans your QR code, or you do not share your payment link, the payment will automatically expire within 1-2 hours, and funds will return to your account. Once you send a Tendy payment link, or a QR code is scanned, the payment cannot be canceled. In that case, your recipient either needs to redeem the payment, or you can redeem it yourself to return the funds to your account from the Activity History tab in the app.
Can I use Tendy for receiving tips or payments for my business or as a social media creator?
Yes! We have a specific type of Tendy profile that is perfect for receiving tips or payments on an ongoing basis. To create a Tendy.me business page, head to the app > Profile > Tendy.Me and add a few quick details to create your profile and get a sharable link and QR code. There’s even an option to order signs with your QR codes to place at your point-of-sale.
